Tastes of Lisbon

Having more and more foreign friends and also English speaking Czech friends I started to go on in English. Today and right now. Despite my English is no perfect at all 🙂

I few weeks ago we returned from Lisbon and there is some  gourmet inspiration of that wonderful city. Of course, there are many fast food places and Italian restaurants like in every European metropolis. But we were searching for anything local, typical and original . . .

STEAK TARTARE

(finely scraped raw beef with raw egg yolk – in Portuguese version mixed  with  green olives, pickled corn and some  balsamico,

served with potato skinny fries – instead of fried bread typical for Czech pubs 🙂

PORT WINE PEAR

Dessert Number One? Port wine pear with nuts and caramel mascarpone cream. You can try to prepar it at home, especially in autumn time.
